Fractional growth co-founders
You built the company. Growth still runs through you.
You've outgrown doing marketing, sales and technology yourself. You need a growth co-founder, not another hire.
For businesses with $5M to $25M in revenue.
The problem
Leads, ads, CRM, reports. Four places, no owner.
- Leads land in different places.
- Follow-up depends on who saw it.
- Nobody can say what a customer costs, by channel.
What it feels like
You're the growth department.
Every agency, every rep and every report ends up back on your desk.
The real problem
Growth shouldn't hinge on one hire. Or on you.
A company your size needs a growth team, not a bet on one executive.
Your guide
We've sat in your chair.
We know what it is like when it all runs through the owner. You talk to Trent, Dallin and Jared, not a sales rep.
Trent Crane
Co-founder & CEO
Trent Crane is co-founder and CEO. In 11 years in solar, he oversaw more than $100 million in sales, exited his solar company to a publicly traded company and spent three years in its corporate leadership. He credits that acquisition to the technology and systems he put in place.
Dallin West
Senior growth lead
Dallin built a residential solar sales organization at Sunrun from about 15 to more than 100 full-time reps, with more than $250 million in signed revenue. Since then he has led sales and marketing for home-service companies, rebuilding the sales process, CRM and advertising. He leads your growth, with the Clutch City team running the systems behind him.
Jared Bender
Co-founder & CTO
Jared Bender is co-founder and CTO and leads technology and marketing for every client. He was the go-to tech person at a venture capital firm before working at StoneSpot and Coastal Acquiring Secure Holdings. Now he builds systems so no lead slips through and owners can see their numbers at a glance.

Sources
Where the estimate comes from.
Estimate as of 10/29/2026. Base pay for a company with under $25 million in revenue is from a recruiter pay guide (JRG Partners, 2026), reported secondhand. Target bonus is that guide's target cash minus base. We added about 20% of base for payroll taxes and benefits, based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics employer cost data (June 2026) and KFF's 2025 health premium survey. A search fee is typically about 25% to 33% of first-year cash pay. Pay for this role at smaller companies is thinly documented: a range for comparison, not a quote.
Questions about this
Are you actually our co-founder?
Not in the legal sense, and we don't take half your business. We act like a growth co-founder: we own the growth plan, run the marketing, sales operations, technology and reporting, and earn more only when your revenue grows above the baseline we agree.
Do I get a Chief Growth Officer?
You get the work of one, and the team that does it. We do not place an executive on your payroll. We run the marketing, sales operations, technology and reporting a growth officer would own.
How much does it cost?
A monthly retainer plus a share of revenue growth above a baseline we agree from your numbers. The minimum retainer is on the comparison above; the rest depends on scope, so we set it on a free 30-minute call.
Should we just hire a CGO instead?
If you want an executive on your payroll who is in your building every day, hire one. We can build the systems they would run. If you want the work done by a team without adding an executive, that is where we fit.
We already have a marketing person. Does that work?
Yes. We can build the systems and connect them to the marketer you already have.
